A small area in Scarborough is without power. Air conditioning and the heat are partly to blame.
Crews are currently inspecting damaged equipment on one of the overhead polls. Toronto Hydro says the damage was likely caused by the heat.
The hydro went off around 3:20 p.m., Friday.
Toronto Hydro spokesperson Jennifer Link told 680News the affected area.
“In a triangle shaped area, bounded by Kingston Road, Galloway Road and Guildwood Parkway, there are about 1,000 customers without power right now,” said Link.
No word on when power will be restored.
