ORILLIA, Ont. – Provincial police say a five-year veteran of the force is facing criminal charges.
The 27-year-old female officer is charged with six counts, including obstructing justice, criminal breach of trust and theft under $5,000.
Const. Kara Darnley was assigned to the Huronia West detachment near Wasaga Beach and was arrested Wednesday morning.
Police say Darnley is suspended from duty with pay and has a scheduled court appearance in Collingwood in September.
