AJAX, Ont. – Durham police are searching for a man after a bank was robbed Wednesday morning in Ajax.
The incident began when a masked man with a gun entered a Bank of Montreal branch on Kingston Road East, at Salem Road, just after 10 a.m.
He then told employees he had an explosive, which police say turned out to be fake.
The man then left with an unknown amount of cash.
He was last seen wearing dark clothing but no other description is currently available.
Anyone with information is being asked to call Durham police or Crime Stoppers.
