The York Regional Police Drugs and Vice Unit have seized $20-million worth of marijuana after raids at five locations.
Search warrants were executed Tuesday at approximately 12 p.m. at three residences and two industrial units in Toronto, Mississauga and Brantford.
Approximately 20,000 plants with an estimated value of $20-million were seized.
Eight people have been arrested and are facing charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
Police began their investigation into the indoor grow operations in November 2011.
