ATHENS – Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras has named prominent economist Yiannis Stournaras as the country’s new finance minister.
Stournaras is the replacement for Vassilis Rapanos, who said Monday that his health would not allow him to fulfil his duties as finance minister.
Rapanos had been named to the post last week but was taken ill and rushed to hospital Friday before being sworn in.
