TORONTO, Ont. – A 17-year-old boy is in hospital in stable condition following a stabbing in the west-end, Friday afternoon.
CityNews reports the teen was stabbed in the stomach just after 1:30 p.m. on Bellevue Crescent in the Weston and Lawrence area.
Police said they are looking for four suspects.
“I’m not aware of any arrests at this time,” said Toronto Police constable Wendy Drummond. “We do have quite a few officers in the area. We’ll be canvassing and speaking with witnesses trying to get as much information as we can.”
There are reports the stabbing occurred as a result of an altercation between two groups of teenagers.
Police have not been able to talk to the victim as of yet.
