Renters are getting an early warning about how much their monthly housing bill could rise in 2013.
The province of Ontario will cap rent increases at 2.5 per cent next year, which is one-tenth of a percentage point lower than it would have been without recent changes to the Residential Tenancies Act.
Any steeper increases have to be approved by the Landlord Tenant Board.
