Brampton’s former Mayor Peter Robertson is facing charges after a CUPE member was hit by a car at a rally last week.
A 23-year-old woman sustained minor leg injuries after being struck while picketing in front of Peel Region headquarters where striking Ontario Works, Public Works and TransHelp employees were delaying traffic.
Robertson’s lawyer claims his client had been waiting for almost a half-hour when the woman sat on his car and fell on the ground. He said a video recording of the incident will back up his story.
