An air ambulance was called Sunday morning after a pedestrian was hit by a train near Welland, Ontario.
Reports indicate it happened around 8:30 a.m. near Carl and Darby Roads by the Welland Canal.
The female victim was set to be transferred to a Hamilton trauma centre.
The extent of her injuries and the circumstances surrounding the incident are still unknown.
