TORONTO, Ont. – An 82-year-old woman is listed in critical, but stable condition, after being hit by a TTC bus.

It happened just after 8 p.m. Tuesday night at the intersection of Ossington Avenue and Davenport Road.

Police told 680News she was trapped under the bus for about 15 minutes before being rushed to hospital.

One witness, a bar owner near the scene, said a Good Samaritan rushed to help the woman, using his belt to tie a tourniquet around her injured leg.

The intersection of Ossington and Davenport was closed for several hours, but has since fully reopened.

The bus was being driven by a 24-year-old man, but there’s no word if charges will be laid.
