TORONTO, Ont. – Two Toronto police officers are sharing “police officer of the year” honours.
Det. Paul Krawczyk and Const. Janelle Blackadar were honoured at Wednesday night’s annual awards, which was held at the Toronto Board of Trade.
The Board created the award in 1967.
Det. Krawczyk and Const. Blackadar work in the sex crimes unit and are credited with infiltrating a worldwide child pornography network.
Their work in “Project Sanctuary” resulted in the arrests of 60 suspects worldwide, with over 225 charges laid, and 27 children rescued.
