BRAMPTON, Ont. – Peel police have confirmed to 680News that a Brampton woman suffered gunshot wounds, Monday.
Police have charged the victim’s husband, Jatinder Dhaliwal, 41, with second-degree murder.
Lakhvir Dhaliwal, 37, was found dead inside a home in north Brampton, Ont., Monday.
Officers were called to a home on Sled Dog Road, located near Torbram Road and Countryside Drive, at around 6 a.m.
A young child called 911 from the home saying his/her mother had been shot.
The couple’s children, aged 8 and 9, were both in the home at the time but were not hurt.
Neighbours told 680News it’s not the first time there’s been trouble at this address.
“We thought maybe the last time was a domestic, but we haven’t heard any details or what the issues were,” a neighbour told 680News.
