TORONTO, Ont. – A man is facing multiple charges after crashing the car he was driving into a historic Willowdale home Saturday morning after a police chase.
Police allege the car struck a house on Finch Avenue West, in the Senlac Road area, around 4:30 a.m. Saturday.
That same car had previously been involved in a high-speed pursuit with police that was called off to protect public safety.
Police say the two passengers in the black Mazda were interviewed but released without charges.
Although no injuries resulted from the collision, the farmhouse suffered a significant amount of damage.
Reports indicate the home is considered a historical landmark because it is the only original farm house remaining in the area.
The car driver faces charges ranging from dangerous driving to failure to stop to flight from police.
