Up to 31 Toronto police officers could be charged for alleged misconduct during the G-20 Summit two years ago.

These numbers come following the release of a report last week from the Office of the Independent Police Review Director.

A total of 36 tribunal hearings are also set to be held  with some officers facing more than one charge.  Two of the officers who could face charges hold senior positions.

Twenty-eight hearings have already been approved and they are waiting on approval for the other 8.

Police Chief Bill Blair will need permission from the Police Services Board in order to proceed.

There is also evidence to charge two other officers, who ran the prisoner processing centre, but both have since retired and cannot be charged under the Police Services Act.
