Another piece of concrete falls off Gardiner

TORONTO, Ont. – Another piece of concrete has fallen off the Gardiner Expressway, Tuesday afternoon.

Toronto Police confirmed to 680News that they received a call from someone walking along Lake Shore Boulevard near Lower Simcoe and saw the piece of concrete fall onto the sidewalk.

Police said it was big enough to hurt someone, but no one was injured. Officers are watching the situation until city engineers come to clean it up.

At that point, engineers will decide if the area is safe or whether they need to chip more loose concrete off.
