One man is dead after a motorcycle crash in the city’s east end.
It happened just after 6:30 p.m., Monday on the Markham Road onramp to the westbound Highway 401.
According to police, the motorcyclist died after crashing into a sign on the ramp.
This is the second person killed after a motorcycle crash this weekend.
An off-duty Peel officer died in hospital after a collision involving an SUV near Orangeville, Saturday.
The OPP told 680News there have been at least half a dozen deaths on OPP patrolled highways this long weekend.
