There’s lots of sunshine in the forecast and above seasonal temperatures this long weekend.
If you’re at the cottage, a trip on the water is most likely on your “to do” list this long weekend.
But boaters are being reminded to be prepared for anything as they hit the water.
Cameron Taylor with Boat Smart Canada told 680News the most important thing before hitting the water is making sure you have the knowledge to boat safely.
“Making sure you understand navigation rules, who has the right of way and how to navigate amongst that boat traffic that will be out there,” said Taylor.
Among the traffic on the water will be police.
They will be patrolling waterways looking for, among other things, those who drink and boat.
