TORONTO, Ont. – Several of Toronto’s finest won’t have to worry about “hat head,” at least for the next little while.

A group of Toronto police officers, including Deputy Chief Mike Frederico, Staff Sgt. Chris Boddy and Const. Tony Vella, will have their heads shaved Saturday as part of Cops for Cancer.

This year’s festivities mark the 16th annual Toronto Police Services’ Cops for Cancer event, and will be held at Yorkdale Mall.

The hair-raising festivities begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, with anyone being invited to stop by and take part before 4 p.m..

You will also be able to make a donation to help raise money for cancer research and awareness as part of the Cops for Cancer fundraiser.

Adding to the fun will be members from the Emergency Task Force (ETF) and canine unit.

In a unique twist, the Toronto police bomb-disposal robot will also be present at Yorkdale Mall.
