Toronto police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for the man they believe is responsible for killing a man in Oriole Park on Wednesday morning.
Daniel Ludwig is wanted for first-degree murder in the death of James Massey, who was 32.
“I think he’s (Ludwig) within the Greater Toronto Area, in fact I think he’s within the City of Toronto. I don’t think he’s the type of person that would really have the means to flee,” Toronto police detective Gary Giroux explained. “Really, quite frankly, based on the resources that I have within the police community to find him, the best case scenario for him is to surrender himself.”
Giroux said Ludwig should be considered armed and dangerous.
Police said that Massey was killed by a close-range shotgun blast to the abdomen following an argument between the two men.
The park was re-opened to the public Wednesday afternoon, after a body was found with obvious signs of trauma just after 3 a.m.
