TORONTO, Ont. – Four people were taken to hospital and the northbound Hwy. 410 was closed for several hours after a serious multi-vehicle crash on the highway Thursday evening.
A 39-year-old man was air-lifted to hospital in critical condition while three others were taken to hospital by land ambulance. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The northbound lanes were closed for several hours from Queen Street to Bovaird Drive.
The southbound lanes were also closed following the crash but reopened shortly after.
It is not clear whether any charges will be laid as the police investigation is in its preliminary stages.
