An OPP-led ground-level search for a missing four-seat plane just east of Peterborough has turned up empty.
The 61-year-old pilot from Quebec took off from St-Mathieu De Beloeil, Que., and was supposed to arrive at the Buttonville Airport in Markham, Ont., north of Toronto, at 11 p.m. on Monday.
The last known co-ordinates of the plane were reported around 11:30 p.m., in an area south of Hastings, Ont.
Police say the pilot was the only occupant of the aircraft.
