TORONTO, Ont. – A man has been arrested and charged with speeding over 80 km/h after an early morning crash between a minivan and motorcycle.
A 35-year-old woman, who was driving the motorcycle, is in stable but serious condition at hospital. She is expected to survive.
Police allege the incident occurred when the motorcycle went through a red light on Kennedy Road, south of Hwy. 401.
The motorcycle was then struck by a minivan, which police say had a green light.
The driver of the van, believed to be in his 50s, is now in police custody.
Earlier reports that the driver of the van was impaired have not been confirmed by police at this time.
