TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto Councillor Doug Ford isn’t planning on running in the yet to be announced Kitchener-Waterloo byelection, but he is expressing interest in a job at Queen’s Park.
Ford told the Toronto Sun that if a seat opened up in Etobicoke, he’d “be there in three seconds.”
A date has yet to be set for the byelection to replace Progressive Conservative Elizabeth Witmer, who stepped down last week to head up the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.
A win for the Liberals would give Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty the majority he didn’t get in last fall’s election.
