TORONTO, Ont. – It’s something hockey fans look forward to every year, and this time, the wildly popular HBO reality series “24/7: Road to the Winter Classic” will feature the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Detroit Red Wings.
HBO will follow the Leafs and Red Wings for a month leading up to the Winter Classic on Jan. 1, 2013.
The reality show that will give fans unprecedented behind the scenes access to the Leafs.
It could be the team also throwing fans a bone after apologizing for missing the playoffs again this past season.
The NHL said the winter classic will take place at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich.
