A survey for Hotwire.com shows New York City, N.Y., is the most popular destination booked by Canadian travellers.

Toronto, Ont., was second, while Montreal, Que., ranked third.

The discount travel site said Canadians are split 50-50 as to whether they plan to spend Victoria Day at home, or head to the United States to take advantage of the strong loonie.
