A group of volunteers spent their morning Saturday planting trees and helping to beautify the neighbourhood.
Parks and Environment Committee Chair, Coun. Norm Kelly, led approximately 1,000 volunteers in the plant.
The volunteers planted both native trees and shrubs at Milliken Park, located in the north end of Scarborough.
Volunteers planted the trees between 10 a.m. and noon.
