Exercise and an improved diet will help prevent cancer from coming back, according to The American Cancer Society.
“There is no one food can or food group that makes a difference,” Colleen Doyle, the society’s director for physical activity and nutrition said. “It really is the combination of eating a diet that is mostly plant food. A lot of fruits and vegetables and a lot of whole grains.”
Meanwhile, Doyle said there is almost no evidence that supplements help cancer survivors, and there is mounting evidence that some supplements can actually promote cancer growth or interfere with treatment.
