Halton Regional Police have reunited a Burlington teen and her dog.
The story started Monday night when a 14 year old called police to report her Shih Tzu poodle had been stolen as she took it for a walk behind a gas station on Plains Road East.
The teen, Idah Clementino, told CityNews she was approached by a man who grabbed her dog named Jackson.
“When he picked him up by the neck, that’s when Jackson was growling and I know he didn’t like that. I was tugging but he was holding onto him,” the teen described.
The police said they’ve found the dog and brought it back home.
Luc Bernard, 32, is facing a charge of theft under $5,000 and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning.
