TORONTO, Ont. – Thousands of Oprah fans streamed into the Metro Toronto Convention Centre Monday to hear the queen of talk Oprah Winfrey.
Winfrey was in town for a live broadcast of her Lifeclass Tour.
Oprah told 680News the reason she’s risen to the top is because she listened to her own advice.
“There is a seed of heart’s desire that burns in every person,” Oprah explained. “And that thing has lead me all the way here, to this stage, to this day and 8,500 people lined up. That is really the real reason why I’m here, because I’ve allowed myself to listen to that thing.”
Winfrey will also be returning to the big screen in Lee Daniels film “The Butler,” co-starring Forest Whitaker and Jane Fonda.
“The only time I really get a vacation is when I get to play somebody else,” Winfrey said. “So I’m looking forward to that.”
The tour event will feature motivational speakers like Tony Robbins and Deepak Chopra.
On her website, the Lifeclass Tour is described as a showcase of “Oprah’s lessons, revelations and a-ha moments over the past 25 years, to help you gain insights to make your life better, bigger and more fulfilling.”
Despite overall poor ratings for her network, OWN, the travelling Lifeclass Tour sold out in Toronto within minutes.
