The 35-year-old woman accused of killing a Brampton mother was scheduled to appear in court Saturday morning.
Mandeep Punia is charged with second-degree murder in the death of her sister-in-law, Poonam Litt.
The 27-year-old mother disappeared in 2009 on her way to work at a Brampton dental office.
Her remains were found in February near Caledon Village.
Litt’s 63-year-old father in law is charged with accessory after the fact to murder, with police withholding the cause of death pending further investigation.
Poonam Litt went missing at the age 0f 27 on February 5, 2009. Both Provincial Police and Peel Police have confirmed her body was found in Caledon in February 2012.
