Two people are dead after a serious head-on crash north of Orangeville, according to Dufferin OPP.
The crash happened on Highway 10, just south of the 20th Sideroad, at around 4 a.m. Saturday, according to Constable Paul Nancekivell.
“The preliminary investigation we’ve got is a northbound pickup truck, Dodge crew-cab, crossed the centre line and struck a Volkswagen Jetta head-on, other than that we don’t know the cause or the reason the vehicle crossed the centre-line at this point,” Nancekivell said.
“We have OPP technical-traffic investigators on scene, doing a complete examination of the scene, and the highway will be closed for several hours.”
Police aren’t releasing any information on the victims until the next of kin have been notified.
