Male cyclist struck by car at McCowan and Ellesmere

TORONTO, Ont. – A 51-year-old man on a bicycle had to be rushed hospital after he was struck by a car, Friday.
The incident happened at 5:45 a.m. on McCowan Road, south of Ellesmere Road.
That portion of McCowan was closed for the police investigation, but has since reopened.
The man suffered serious injuries, but police told 680News it could have been a lot worse if he wasn’t wearing a helmet.
