York Regional Police are reminding everyone about unsafe ice conditions after two close calls over the long weekend.
Police say a truck with a family of four, including two young children, went through the ice on Lake Simcoe near Franklin Beach on Monday.
Luckily everyone made it out okay.
A 15-year-old boy was also able to escape after his snowmobile went through the ice on a canal in the area of Pumphouse Road and Graham Sideroad in King City.
