It may be a little early to start saving for retirement but kids like to sock money away too.
The Tooth Fairy has always been a welcome nocturnal visitor and a fresh survey from Visa found those visits can add up.
Eight in ten parents find their kids wake up with an amount under their pillows that ranges between $1 to $5.
If you really get lucky you can score big time, as 2 per cent of parents say their kids can turn up anywhere between $40 to over $100 per tooth.
Keeping in mind kids lose about 20 teeth over the course of growing up, that can add up to a nice little nest egg.
Visa said that is a good time to have a talk about money and saving with your kids.
