TORONTO, Ont. – Veolia Transportation has confirmed that the transit company, responsible for many of the routes affected by the York Region transit strike, will resume talks with the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 113 on Monday.

Talks are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Monday, which is the first available time for the mediator in the case.

No other information on the upcoming talks has been released.

York Region has been without approximately 60 per cent of its bus service since October, making transportation difficult for the more than 40,000 people who rely on it.
