Niagara’s Chief of Police has announced she plans to retire.
Wendy Southall will be leaving the force in March, after serving as chief for over seven years, longer than any of her predecessors.
She was an officer in Toronto for eight years in the 1970’s, before joining the Niagara force in 1982.
Among her achievements were an appointment by the Governor General of Canada to the Order of Merit of Police Forces.
