TORONTO – Move over Bing Crosby, pop sensation Justin Bieber has plans to set teenage girls’ hearts aglow this Christmas.
The 17-year-old from Stratford, Ont. will perform hits including “Mistletoe” and “Baby,” along with favourite Yuletide classics, in a television special that premieres Thursday on MuchMusic and CTV.
Bieber will tape the program a day earlier at downtown Toronto’s Massey Hall, with proceeds of ticket sales going to the BELIEVE Charity Drive.
A portion of sales from his latest album, “Under the Mistletoe,” will also go to the charity.
“MuchMusic Presents Justin Bieber: Home for the Holidays,” airs repeatedly between Dec. 22 and Jan. 8.
A half-hour ETALK companion special that showcases Bieber’s charity and goes on the set of his new video will proceed the premiere.
