TORONTO, Ont. – The Occupy Toronto movement appears to be looking to move some of its work indoors, after releasing an article on their website requesting meeting and office space.
The request says the group could ideally use “a downtown location with a big meeting space large enough to hold 30-40 people for committee and inter-committee meetings (about the size of the big yurt).”
They also request office space and a media centre with four or five computers, along with an info desk, fliers, a whiteboard and, ideally, a room for a library.
The group says even more space would be useful, but anything of the like would be helpful.
The space would likely be used for most of the winter, according to the article.
The movement says donated space would be ideal, but adds they may be able to work out some sort of funding for discounted space.
