TORONTO – Police are looking for witnesses after reports of a woman being forced into the trunk of a car, Friday morning.

University of Toronto issued a statement today saying, “while we have very little information as to the nature of this incident, patrols in garages and parking lots have been increased.”

“Along with the general patrols, there are community policing programs utilized to provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff and faculty at all times.”

The incident happened at a University of Toronto parking garage.

University of Toronto Campus Community Police received a call from a University employee which alleged that a woman had been heard calling for help in the St. George Garage and when the employee investigated, saw a woman being forced into a car.

Toronto police arrived on scene to the Rotman School of Management, 105 St. George Street. They were unable to locate a person in need of assistance at the time.

The car that left the scene is described as a dark blue or a black 4 door sedan. The female is described as having shoulder-length, straight hair.
