TORONTO, Ont. – Diwali, also known as the “festival of lights” started Wednesday.
It is celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and Jains.
In the GTA, 400,000 people will mark the five-day festival by going to temple, decorating their homes, exchanging gifts and donating to charity.
