Hearing set for Aug. 31 for 3 teens accused of killing man at Barrie mini-putt

BARRIE, Ont. – Three Innisfil teenagers accused of murdering a Collingwood man at a mini-putt golf course are to return to court later this month.

The two 18-year-olds and a 19-year-old will be in the Penetanguishine superjail until the Aug. 31 hearing in Barrie.

Two of the three teens are in protective custody.

Bradley Hubbard, 42, was killed last Saturday night after an altercation at The Putting Edge in south-end Barrie.

Autopsy results showed he died from a penetrating injury to the neck.

Hubbard’s family has said he was stabbed with a broken putter, while police are releasing few details as the investigation continues. His funeral is set for Monday in Elmvale.
