Deep-fried cola debuts at CNE

TORONTO, Ont. – When the CNE opens Friday, you won’t be able to buy deep-fried Coke. Instead, you will have to settle for deep-fried cola.

According to Coca-Cola, the soft-drink company declined the use of the Coca-Cola logo in the booth signage related to of trademark issues.

The Toronto Star reported the 16-ounce cup of deep-fried cola comes topped with whipped cream and has about 1,000 calories.

It will sell for $5.97, plus tax.

You can use this to wash down deep-fried Oreos and deep-fried pop tarts.
