Police seek witnesses after senior struck crossing street

TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto police are looking for witnesses after a pedestrian was struck Thursday afternoon while crossing Bathurst Street.

A 94-year-old male pedestrian was crossing Bathurst Street from east to west around 3:50 p.m. when he was struck by a grey Volkswagen, which was travelling south on Bathurst Street.

Police say it appears the man was crossing mid-block. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
