TTC driver pepper sprayed at Downsview station

TORONTO, Ont. – Police said a TTC driver is okay after being assaulted with a type of pepper spray at Downsview station, Wednesday morning.
Just after 9:30, a bus driver was questioning a female passenger on the validity of her transfer as she attempted to board the vehicle.
Police allege the woman pulled out a type of irritating spray and sprayed the driver in the face before fleeing westbound on Sheppard Ave.
Several people in the area ran after the woman and held her down until police arrived.
The woman was arrested and police said charges are pending. The driver was treated at the scene.
