MISSISSAUGA, On. – Peel Regional Police are on the hunt for a suspect, following a fatal shooting in Mississauga, Tuesday.

Gunfire rang out at 7095 Rexwood Road, located in the Derry Road and Highway 427 area.

Police said the victim was a 32-year-old man; however, they have not released his name yet.

The man was reportedly shot multiple times. Residents said they heard at least three shots fired, last night.

The suspect fled the scene.

“We’re going to be working throughout the night to talk to some witnesses and try and analyze the evidence,” Constable Adam Minnion said. “Once that’s taken place, if in fact the suspect information sounds more clear, we’ll be the first to get that information out.”

This is the ninth homicide of the year in the Peel Region.
