Heinz Canada issues baby food recall due to jar defect

OTTAWA – A warning is being issued to those who purchase a specific brand of Heinz baby foods due to a defect in the jar.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said those who puchased the affected product should not consume the contents because some jars have a glass deformity that could break off during normal use.
The affected products described below are sold in 100 mL (3.52 oz fl) glass jars.

The CFIA said the products affected in the recall may have been distributed nationally.
There have been no reported injuries.
