VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – How much are you spending on groceries every month? How about gas?
A new survey finds the amount of cash we shell out for food and fuel is getting a lot closer. It says the average Canadian family spends about $400 on groceries every month and we’re now spending just under $300 on gas.
The high cost of fuel has a lot of us changing our shopping habits as well. Many of us are looking for ways to see immediate discounts.
According to the Nielsen survey, about one third of Canadians are looking for “cheaper” gas, while another third have started using a lower grade of fuel.
