Dozens of couples hope for luck by marrying on 10-10-10 wedding day

TORONTO – There’s a steady stream of brides and grooms in Toronto today, hoping their wedding will be a perfect 10 on a day that only comes around once a millennium.
Couples are lining up to get married, the tenth month of the tenth year, or 10-10-10.
Demand at Toronto’s city hall was so high, ceremonies had to be moved to a downtown hotel.
Officials will be busy, as they have weddings booked every half hour from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Couples from Chinese cultures say they day is considered “lucky” while followers of numerology call the day “magical.”
Outside the hotel, some joked that getting married on 10-10-10 also makes sure they’ll never forget their wedding anniversary.
