Two separate boating incidents send three to hospital

KESWICK, ONT – Two men and one woman were sent to hospital during the long weekend following two separate boating incidents across Ontario.

On Sunday afternoon, York Regional Police told 680News a boat capsized on the south side of Lake Simcoe, sending a father and son to hospital.

The incident happened at around 4:30 p.m. about 10 kilometres north of Crate’s Marina in Keswick.  

The father is said to be in serious condition, while there have been no updates on the son’s condition.

Police have not released the names or ages of the victims.

Meanwhile, a 53 year old Toronto woman has been hospitalized after she was struck by a boat while swimming in West Lake, approximately 50 kilometres from Belleville.

She was airlifted to a hospital in Kingston, but her condition is not known.
