TORONTO, Ont. - Mississauga will be hosting the 9th annual Transformers Convention this weekend, and fans new and old are being encouraged to stop by.
The convention’s Phil Gervais said there will be something for everyone.
“If you were a fan back then or a fan entering the franchise now, you’re going to want to come out to this show,” he said.
This year’s attractions include special guests David Kaye, Mark Ryan, Eric Bauza; and artists Derrick J. Wyatt, Marvin Mariano, Dan Khanna, Matt Moylan, Alex Milne along with Hasbro Canada.
The convention has been quoted by organizers as a “collector’s paradise.”
“Anything and everything you’re looking for, be it that one piece you didn’t get for Christmas that one year or that part you lost for a figure years ago, you will be able to pick it up this weekend,” Gervais said.
TFcon is Canada’s largest annual Transformers collectors convention, and the second greatest attended Transformers convention in the world. This year features Hasbro Canada’s Transformers new product presentation and question and answer panel, Canada’s largest dealer room for Transformers merchandise, guest question and answer panels and autograph sessions, Transformers trivia contest, plus art and costume contests.
First introduced in 1984 by Hasbro and Takara as a toy line, Transformers has become a global phenomenon inspiring comic books, video games, animated series, and films.
